XXXX, I sent a formal debt validation request to Professional Debt Mediation under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). The debt, reported on my credit profile with a balance of {$2100.00}, is listed as " In Collections/Charge-off. '' I specifically requested : Proof of legal ownership of the debt, including documentation of transfer from the original creditor.
A detailed, itemized breakdown of the balance, including fees, interest, and charges.
A signed agreement verifying my obligation to repay the debt.
As of today, I have not received any of the requested documentation.
Without this information, the debt remains unvalidated, and I do not acknowledge responsibility for it. Additionally, the debt is inaccurately reported under both my name and my spouses name, which raises concerns about misreporting and errors. Their failure to provide the required information and potential inaccuracies in reporting violate the FDCPA and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ).

I would like this matter further investigated as this debt is a false debt they are trying to collect. This matter was in court proceedings and their lawyer submitted a Dispositive ( Complete ) Withdrawal on XX/XX/2023 that states The Plaintiff 's action is WITHDRAWN AS TO ALL DEFENDANTS without costs to any party. Yet, they are making claims I owe for something in which I was not living nor residing in this unit during the times they are claiming. Professional Debt Mediation is one of a list of past debt collectors who've handled a debt from an apartment I had years ago. They have changed the date of the debt reporting every few months so it won't fall off my credit report. My last attempt was made XX/XX/2023 PDM was sent a cease and desist notice in the regards of this debt. I have made many attempts to show PDM I do not owe any alleged on many different occasions. They continue to submit documents which doesnt show I owe any debt I allegedly. I have sent this company proof payments and have also uploaded them into this system as well. They can not fully verify this alleged debt. Submitting amounts isnt verification of any debt or a statement that states I owe any debt isnt a form of verification or verifying I owe any debt. Which is required for any debt collector to verify all alleged debts. Lastly, PDM isnt even licensed to act as a debt XXXX in my state. This will be my last attempt or I have to seek legal action on this debt collector.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from Professional Debt Mediation INC. regarding an unpaid move out debt that I was not aware of. At this time they had placed a collection on my credit on XXXX XXXX XXXX for the amount of {$440.00}. Their initial letter was sent to my fathers address, but he did not hold onto the letter. After a brief discussion with them, I was informed that this was on all former tenants credit. The original creditor made a single attempt to contact me in XXXX XXXX XXXX, but did not make any additional attempts. After asking for the proof of debt, they emailed my a small document holding a single vague receipt of what I owed. After asking them to clarify and to provide any additional proof, i.e. itemized list or pictures, they were unable to. I then sent a dispute letter to them on XX/XX/XXXX requesting some additional information about the debt, and more information about their company. I received a letter back on XX/XX/XXXX containing the same contents of the email, with no further questions answered. It seems to me that there is insufficient evidence that I owed the original creditor anything to begin with. Upon further investigation, It was found that this company does not have the license to practice collecting in my current state of Connecticut, and a complaint to my state attorney general has already been made.

I spoke to an XXXX dispute rep today as well as a supervisor about an account that are still reporting inaccurately on my consumer report. I also explained that the accounts should be deleted as they are inaccurate. Account # XXXX - Prof Debt Mediation let me know they could not verify the debt so they requested to delete the trade-line. XXXX and XXXX have deleted Professional Debt Mediation. Yet, XXXX has not. Also, while on the phone with a supervisor explaining this at XXXX, I was hung up on. This is far from okay and I will be seeking out a lawyer to address the violations.
