I had a mortgage through Penny Mac. This loan was an FHA loan with mortgage insurance. I paid off the loan on the XXXX of XXXX. I was charged mortgage insurance and interest for two months when calculating the amount needed for closing. Interest for XXXX and the entire month of XXXX though it was paid off on the XXXX within the grace period for payment of the loan and mortgage insurance supposedly for XXXX and XXXX paid in XXXX and XXXX, again the payoff was received within the grace period for paying the payment.
Also I analyized the escrow account for the entire period of the loan and the amounts paid in the the escrow plus the initial amount in from loan inception, less payments made do not come to the total refunded to me after closing.
I would like someone to review the mortgage as I feel I have not received all of the funds due when the loan closed.

PennyMac took my XXXX XXXX mortgage payment of {$1600.00} and applied it to late fees and then put the rest in escrow. Then they reported my mortgage as being 30 days late causing my credit score to drop XXXX points. When I called them on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, the rep I spoke to acknowledged what they did, apologized and said she would fix everything including reporting to the credit bureau that I was never late. All she said was I owed {$180.00} in late fees which I paid on the spot. I could hear her boss in the backroom agreeing with everything she was saying to me. The next day XXXX XXXX I paid my XXXX payment of {$1600.00}. That afternoon I started receiving calls that my mortgage was late and I called them back every time. They called on the XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and now today the XXXX. Every call was XXXX plus minutes long stating everything that was taking care of on the XXXX XXXX call. Everyday but today they have said oh ok, we will make a note of this and it will be fixed. With the exception of today, today the rep tells me, that the conversation never happened on the XXXX even thought I asked her several times to review the recording tapes and that I still owe {$1300.00} for XXXX payment.
Obviously no one there knows what they are doing and as the customer I am getting the raw end of the deal.
The women I am speaking too now is telling me I am wrong about everything and I owe an additional {$1300.00} before all this will be fixed. So now the payment I made for {$1600.00} for my XXXX payment was again applied to late fees.
This company obviously does not know what they are doing and should not be handling my mortgage.

I was in the process of modification paperwork and was able to call in and make two payments. Unfortunately I first tried to pay these payments over the Pennymacs online system but when you opt for modification it will not allow you to process a payment over the internet. My only option was to call and process them. I called to make two payments and casually mentioned to the agent if I could make these I probably would not need to move forward with the modification process. I was also frustrated I was unable to process these over the internet myself without giving an agent my checking numbers. I then proceeded to give the agent XXXX payment after she processed that she warned me that they would only be able to process 1 payment a day XX/XX/23 so then second would need to processed XX/XX/23 unfortunately. I said okay and continued giving her another checking number. Welp I am being told that payment was considered late and they slapped a 30 day late payment on my credit report.
on XXXX we received two letters saying both payments were successfully applied to our mortgage account. The agent must have submited through the wrong checking and it never went through. Again something we could have avoided should they let us submit over the internet and not verbally. We did not receive notice that the payment failed and we kept checking to see why the payment was not taken out of one of the accounts and later after receiving credit alert we found out that they said we paid 30 days late. They also said since we canceled our modification it didn't matter when we paid the bill it was considered late. They claim our modification was canceled on XXXX? Im not sure why someone would cancel a modification and then submit a payment they knew would not go through. We are trying to protect our credit and I feel this was done sneakily through our lender. They have been less than helpful during all parts of the financial struggle I have had and less than cooperative during any discussion we have had to fix our account. As of now all payments are made and we are asking this be investigated.

I am very concerned regarding the serious possibility that you have not follow permissible purpose provision of the federal fcra. Hey credit account an inquiry was placed on my credit report. The ACT specifies that you must document the reason for requesting my report and when in error remove them as well. I'm depending penny mac to follow the statute : need to provide documentation that allow is followed by researching the matter at once or move this offending account and inquiry as soon as possible yours truly XXXX XXXX

In XXXX of XXXX, my original mortgage company who had always been very understanding and helpful with me sold my mortgage to Pennymac.
Pennymac changed my due date to the beginning of the month and I just could n't pay it. I called and ask them to change it to the end of the month and they said everyone 's mortgage is due at the first of the month and they do n't change due dates. So yes I will admit, I have racked up a good amount of late fees, but I had every intention of paying that off when I got my XXXX tax refund. I ca n't give them what I do n't have and they are completely ignorant to that fact. I have never missed a payment, I work so hard to stay afloat and they do n't even look at that and give me any slack. I have ask them for a hardship reduction and they said I did n't qualify for one.
I do n't know how owing {$600.00} more a month in bills then what I make does n't qualify for a hardship reduction, but they told me it does n't. Also if I wanted to be considered for a short sale, I would have to be late on payments and ruin my bad credit even more.
My house has been on the market for 3 or 4 months, I am selling it for cost. I am walking away with nothing but bad credit and debt.
Then I find out my credit dropped even more because of PennyMac and I would n't even be able to get an apartment.

Every call was 40 plus minutes long stating everything that was taking care of on the XXXX XXXX call. Everyday but today they have said oh ok, we will make a note of this and it will be fixed. With the exception of today, today the rep tells me, that the conversation never happened on the XXXX even thought I asked her several times to review the recording tapes and she said that I still owe {$1300.00} for XXXX payment.
Obviously no one there knows what they are doing and as the customer I am getting the raw end of the deal.
It seems no one there is actually making any notation in my account, causing me to have to repeat everything back to them everyday I speak to them as if I ever spoke to them before. That is ridiculous.
Also on a side note, I believe that they actually do n't keep records, I get letters all the time saying I need to actually reach out and speak to them about my difficulties paying instead of ignoring them. I speak to this company all the time. I wonder who is ignoring who!

I have a duplex in XXXX Connecticut that is mortgaged by PennyMac mortgage co. I have insurance on that property from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Every few months I get a letter saying I don't have insurance. I call them, they say oh I see the issue we will fix it. They tell me its fixed and it never is. I have tried to deal with this at least 10 times over 3 years. Each time I'm told its resolved and a few months later it happens again. They have even purchased insurance on my behalf out of my escrow fund even though I have shown time and time again the issue is on their end. Most recently, they just didn't pay my premium causing my insurance company to drop coverage. Now my property isn't covered and I may end up paying more for insurance. I can not keep doing this. I pay my mortgage, I have insurance, I feel like I'm being harassed!! Please help me!

We stopped to pay our mortgage since XXXX. I could n't work for a year because my XXXX babies came, so I quit to take care them. Months later my husband lost his job and we struggled with everything. By XXXX Penny Mac offered us and program for 9 moths that we can pay XXXX dollars per moths, but finally by XXXX I called them and I told that we were ready to pay our full monthly payment ( XXXX ). Then, they told us we need to start a Modification program and need to qualified, because I requested that wherever we owned we will lie to be transferred to the end of our balance. However, by XXXX this process starts and we could n't make payments because " we were on the process to modification '' even if we talked them we can pay our full monthly payment like we used to do before we got in this situation. My the middle of XXXX we recieved a lawyer letter saying we will be sue for whwerere we own, few days after we got papers for the same lawyer from Pend Mac that we need to go to court. We have been trying to get in contact with them so someone can explain us why we need to go to court if first, we are waiting for the modification, we want to pay just we do n't have the balance money ( XXXX ). we want to start to pay our regular payment.
Plus they said we need to pay for their lawyers expenses. we do n't get a call for them and we want to reach them we just hear " wait '' we are working on your modification. I hope it get clearly soon__ thank you

My mortgage company keeps buying insurance on my behalf even though they have a copy of my insurance documents. I have called and fixed the problem about 5 times in the last two years but every few months they purchase insurance on my behalf and automatically withdraw and extra {$400.00} in automatic payments. They owe me almost {$1000.00} and it takes about 1.5 hours to get someone on the phone every time.

For the months of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to pay my mortgage via phone. I went through all the steps necessary to pay by phone for the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I even got a confirmation number and an email telling me my payment was received. A few days later i went to check my account balance and I learned that the XX/XX/XXXX payment was rejected because PennyMac gave the wrong name of the account holder. My mother used to be on the mortgage but she passed away in XX/XX/XXXX. PennyMac used her name to get paid by my bank. I was forced to take a day off to fix the situation. Despite telling PennyMac on numerous occasions to take her name off the new mortgage they have not done so. Again the same thing happened when I went to pay the XX/XX/XXXX mortgage.
I was able to pay the mortgage until the recession of XX/XX/XXXX. I went through a NIGHTMARE to get PennyMac to modify my mortgage. The law firm they hired gave me XXXX. They also told CT bar to spread the word to attorneys not to take on my case because i was a dead beat debtor. i was stupid enough to seek assistance from a Congressman 's office. They offered no help and may have revealed my financial information to my neighbors who kindly told me I was bankrupt and they wanted to buy my property. I survived this XXXX and PennyMac is still engaging in all kinds of violations of the FDCA. Apparently, they are purposely using my mother 's name so they can find out if I have a cell phone so they can tell the police. Please see attached documents to understand police involvement.

Account had been in forbearance ( covid 19 ) and finally ended in XXXX. I then continued to make payment on my mortgage and in this time kept requesting resolution. We received paperwork but local bank notary advised us it was not legal in CT. After many calls still no resolution and all this time I have just kept paying the loan. Fast forward and on XX/XX/XXXX the company reported me 120+ days late on my mortgage but account says current? This dropped my credit score down over XXXX pts making it impossible to bounce back. I have contacted all 3 bureaus and mortgage company and they will not acknowledge it or escalate my claim that this is incorrect reporting information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On XX/XX/2021 I paid off the mortgage to a property I own. I only received {$16.00} from escrow which seems to be off balance. I have contacted the bank numerous times asking them for a detail to be sent on how they arrived at that total. I continue to speak with reps the tell me I can go through their website but I continually have issues accessing the site. I am requesting a detail be sent or faxed with a break down as to how they arrived at the total of {$16.00}. They were able to fax my final payment info but will not fax my settlement escrow.

I have been trying to postpone my sale date with PennyMac. First I was told my file was complete, then I was told it wasn't. Every time I tried to fax them something, it would take hours for the fax to go through, and I finally had to get their foreclosing attorney 's help in getting the package to them. I have complied with everything, but they continue to move the goal post, and I can not afford to reinstate. My hardship was that my fiance` and I parted ways, causing a disruption in my finances, a loss of income. I made the necessary adjustments in my life before I applied for the loan modification, as I am not confident I can support the mortgage on my own. One representative will tell me one thing, another representative will tell me another. I am in a panic. I have sent them a complete file. I obtained a Quitclaim Deed, then they wanted proof of hardship. I said the fact that he's not longer in the home and the Deed should be evidence of my loss of income. I was then told to send a bill that was in his name, that had to be switched to my name thereafter. I did so, and was told that wasn't enough. Please help! I am desperate!

I had repairs done on my home out of my own pocket, the insurance company did inspections and released the funds to me. I sent checks to PennyMac Loan services because they hold the mortgage. They are now saying they won't release the funds or schedule an inspection so i can finish the sale of my home.
