The employer had not developed and utilized specific lockout procedures to be used when employees had to enter hazardous areas of the machine to clear upset conditions such as jams. In addition, employees did not lockout the machine during product changeovers and sanitation activities. Garden of Light, Inc. dba Bakery on Main was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1222751, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a Final Order on May 31, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at East Hartford, Connecticut. |
